Hello, I just thought I'd use this machine while I've got a chance to - there's only two here that work although I think Tom Reese is tinkering with someone's laptop what got sat on by Henry Eccleston, the great lump. Computers look funny on the inside, all those wires and bits and pieces with odd names like floppy drive which somehow always makes me giggle, and it's all put to work by something called a mother board which just goes to show that what Mam always said about there being a woman behind every good invention just might be true!
Anyway, to those of you who didn't know already, I am fine, in the safe house the Slytherins were meant to go into but I'm not the only non Slytherin in there by a long chalk, in fact it's pretty full here.
I've been thinking about the evacuation a lot. We didn't have time, did we? It all happened so very suddenly and although it was practised and all, the drill procedure only half-worked, and I hope everyone made it to safety...it is awful, not knowing if everyone's all right. I've seen a few journal entries but I think lots of people must be writing things privately which is probably safest, mind, but it would help if everyone just left a message here to say they're okay. This post can only be seen by other Hogwarts students and you don't have to say where you are or anything, just leave a message to say you're safe?
It's not just for me, it's for others as well. You can use it like a message board if you like.

It's strange here, I don't like it but we've got to make the best of things, don't we? No one's wounded any more except inside, and those take a while to heal. I was really lucky to have escaped unharmed - just a few slicing hexes on my legs while we were flying over the Death Eaters. But they're healed up and the scars might fade in time, Madam Pomfrey said. Not that it matters, I know I'm lucky to be alive. Colin's little brother Dennis was killed, and there's another boy who won't speak a word but who we've worked out it called Stuart. And Colin's all right but he must be still in shock really. Professor McGonagall is here, and that nice Auror, Tonks - except she was quite ill for a while, from some sort of dark thing no one will talk about. McGonagall was hit really really badly with an Unforgivable. I don't know why that's so shocking, but it's not the fact that the Death Eaters used Unforgivables but that they got her. I know she's thin and old and sourfaced but those things aren't supposed to matter with magic are they? I mean look at Dumbledore?
I wish I could actually. Look at Dumbledore. I hope he's...you know. All right.

I want to find out how I could come over, just to give you that hug and kiss that I promised. Sorry, I'm tired, I'm not able to write for long as I'll fall asleep on the keyboard and other people wish to use this.

You can't. I've already asked if I could go and join you Hufflepuffs but according to Mr Weasley (the taller one) we're all to stay put for now. I don't think they've got an easy way of moving around, although sometimes I am sure they leave and come back. We'll just have to make the best of things, won't we? You go and rest, Ernie. I've got to go, too.

Probably! Well, unless he's standing behind me with an invisibility cloak on or something he'll never know! HAHA!I miss you, too. I miss you, and Hannah and Alicia...but not Neilson, it has to be said.
I wish we were all in one place. I don't want to moan... but I miss Sally, and I miss my broom. It sounds stupid doesn't it? When we're lucky to be alive... but I do, anyway.
